But reporters working solo at small dailies, weekly alternative newspapers, and in radio, have made a crucial contribution also.  The Catholic clergy abuse crisis demands insightful and courageous local reporting on a global institution with a long and complex history.  Elizabeth Hardin-Burrola’s work is an example of a reporter meeting that challenge.
