  Accused Deacon Returns Home.

Atlanta Journal and Constitution
May 6, 1993

A Roman Catholic deacon extradited to Illinois to face charges of child molestation returned to Fayetteville last weekend. Patricio Batuyong, who served as a deacon at St. Gabriel's Mission, pleaded not guilty and posted a $ 50,000 bond before returning to his Georgia home, said his attorney Joseph Todd. Illinois authorities accuse Deacon Patrick of several sexual crimes involving a relative in the Chicago suburbs. He is not accused of any improprieties in Georgia. Mr. Todd said Deacon Patrick has returned to his civilian military job but "is not doing anything as far as the church is concerned."
