  Rev. Leonard Bacigalupo

The Rev. Leonard F. Bacigalupo, 89, of Teresian House died Monday in St. Peter's Hospital.

He was born in Boston, professed his vows in 1927 and was ordained in 1930. He received a doctorate in sacred theology in 1933 from the Pontifical University of the Antonianum in Rome, Italy. The Rev. Bacigalupo was the author of five books on theology, church history and Italian ethnic contributions to this country. He was also the author of numerous articles.

He lived at Teresian House since 1989.

Survivors include nieces and nephews in the Boston area and his dear friend, the Rev. Richard Carlino of St. Anthony's Church, Schenectady.

A service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Anthony's Friary in Catskill, with burial at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Francis Friary in Andover, Mass.

Calling hours will be 4-9 p.m. today in St. Anthony's Friary in Catskill.

Arrangements are by the Rossi and Sons Funeral Home, Schenectady.
