The Rev. Justin Leo Edward Goodwin, 90, of Hanahan, a retired associate pastor with Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, died Monday in a local nursing home. A wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. today in Divine Redeemer Church. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, according to Stuhr's Greenridge Road Chapel. Burial, directed by Ginley Funeral Home, will be in St. Francis Cemetery in Walpole, Mass.

Mr. Goodwin was born in Norwood, Mass., a son of Arthur L. Goodwin and Catherine R. Abely Goodwin. He attended Walpole Agricultural High School in Walpole and received a bachelor's degree in theology from the Catholic University in Washington, D.C. He served as auxiliary chaplain in Fort Gordon, Ga., pastor of Saint Mary's Catholic Church on Yonge's Island and an associate priest with Blessed Sacrament Church in Charleston and Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist.

Surviving are five sisters, Edith O. Neil, Josephine Bindinelli and Marsha Richall, all of Walpole, Sarah Goodwin of Harwich, Mass., and Rita Glover of Lauderdale by the Sea, Fla.; and a brother, Thomas A. Goodwin of San Francisco.
