Ronald Bollich

WINNIE — Funeral Mass for the Rev. Ronald Bollich, 59, former pastor at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Bridge City, will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church in Winnie.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery- under the direction of Broussard's Mortuary in Winnie.

He died at the Ridgewood Retirement Center Tuesday. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today in St. Louis Church. A wake service will follow at 7 p.m. A native of Mowata, La., he was raised in Winnie and lived 44 years in Texas. He was ordained to the Catholic priesthood on May 31, 1964.

He served as associate pastor at St. Anne in Beaumont, St. Catherine in Port Arthur, St. Anthony Cathedral in Beaumont, Immaculate Conception in Groves and St. James. His first pastorate was at Sacred Heart in Nacogdoches.

From there he served as pastor at St. Mark in Silsbee, St. James in Port Arthur and St. Henry. He

retired for health reasons in May 1994 and lived at the Ridgewood Retirement Center.

He is survived by four brothers, Stanley Bollich of Orange, Wilbur Bollich of Nederland, Jim Bollich of Vidor, and Hal Bollich of Winnie; and one sister, Mary Ann Ogden of Katy.
