A Catholic priest at a Staten Island parish was busted in an Internet kiddie-sex sting yesterday after allegedly trying to arrange a tryst with a teenage boy.

The Rev. Morgan Kuhl, 32, of St. Mary's of the Assumption Church in the Port Richmond section, thought he was e-mailing a 15-year-old boy named "Jay" to set up a meeting, the FBI said.

"Jay" was actually an undercover FBI agent.

Kuhl was busted on baseball-field bleachers at Washington Park in Perth Amboy, N.J., wearing a red jacket, which he said in thee-mails he'd be wearing, the FBI said.

He admitted he was in Perth Amboy "to possibly have sex" with the teen, FBI officials said.

Kuhl told agents his mother was a retired New York City cop and that his late dad also had been an NYPD officer. City police could not immediately confirm that.

Kuhl did not enter a plea on a charge of traveling interstate to have sex with a minor. He was released on $50,000 bond.
