	The Rev. Lawrence M. Spellen The Californian (Salinas, CA) February 21, 2003 The Rev. Lawrence M. Spellen, 85, of Westminster, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born in Chicago in 1917 and ordained a priest in 1946. He served as chaplain and campus minister at Palma High School in Salinas from 1976 to 1989. Survivors: Foster sons, Hoan Pham and Toan Pham; and sister, Margaret Spicer of Chicago. Mass: Memorial Mass 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, at Brother Edmund Rice Chapel, Palma High School, Salinas.
