HAMMOND - Federal prosecutors claim a 68-year-old Valparaiso man drove to Chicago last week planning to have oral sex with a 15-year-old boy.

Wayne E. Wigglesworth is charged in Hammond federal court with sexual enticement of a child. He remains in custody pending a detention hearing Monday.

Wigglesworth, of the 4300 block of Kellee Lane, was arrested Aug. 17 when Chicago police pulled him over for an alleged unsignaled lane change moments after he picked up the boy at 60th Street and Rockwell Avenue in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood, according to an FBI agent's report. Chicago police told the FBI agent Wigglesworth couldn't explain why the 15-year-old boy was in his car.

Once police pulled the two out of the car, the boy told officers he met Wigglesworth on teenchat.com a few weeks prior and the two talked on the phone and exchanged text messages, the agent wrote. The boy said Wigglesworth told him he was 43 years old, the agent wrote. On August 14, Wigglesworth sent a text message arranging a meeting August 17, the agent wrote. Prosecutors claim that on the day of that meeting, Wigglesworth called the boy and suggested they could have oral sex and "hold and hug" each other.

Upon his arrest, police seized Wigglesworth's cell phone, digital camera and a clipboard and paper pad inscribed with three male names, the agent wrote.
