	John Haberthier Hutchinson News January 17, 2010 GREAT BEND - John Haberthier, 87, died Dec. 28, 2009, at Cherry Village Nursing Home, Great Bend. He was born Aug. 22, 1922, in Wichita, to John R. and Ruby Schroth Haberthier. He had formerly served as a Catholic priest in California and in the Dodge City Diocese. He enjoyed playing cards, the piano, and above all took great satisfaction in helping others. Survivors include: guardian and friend, Leo Herrman and wife Vicki, La Crosse. He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Cross Cemetery, Windthorst. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Chapel at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dodge City, with the Most Rev. Ronald M. Gilmore presiding. Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend, is in charge or arrangements.
