Donovan, John Thomas Right Reverend Monsignor Entered into the fullness of Eternal Life on June 2, 2010. Ordained to the priesthood on May 20, 1944, by the Most Rev. Moses E. Kiley at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Milwaukee. He was given the title Monsignor on July 16, 1965, when he was appointed Domestic Prelate to His Holiness Pope Paul VI. From 1974 until his retirement in 1993, Monsignor Donovan served as Pastor of St. Monica's Parish in Whitefish Bay. He is survived by his loving sister, Mary Therese McNeany, a caring cousin, Betsy Krizek Harwood and her family, four dear nieces and four dear nephews, other caring cousins, other devoted relatives and wonderful friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 7, at St. Monica's Catholic Church, 5601 N. Santa Monica Blvd., in Whitefish Bay, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A second visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 8, at St. Monica's Catholic Church, from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM with Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:00 AM. A reception will follow the Mass. Interment will be private at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials in Msgr. Donovan's name may be made to St. Monica Parish, 106 E. Silver Spring Dr., Whitefish Bay, WI 53217.
