Letter to the Editor (Long Island Edition)

I would feel much more comfortable giving my Bishop's Appeal check to my local parish. But how will my local parish account to the parishioners? They are entitled to know how much money was collected and how it was spent. In many parishes, only those on the finance committee have access to this information.
My suggestion: Use the Sunday church bulletin to inform parishioners as to how much money was collected and how it was spent. Case closed!
