LACONIA, N.H. -- A jury was picked Monday for the second trial of the first New Hampshire priest to stand trial on sexual assault charges.

Belknap County Superior Court Judge Harold Perkins seated 16 jurors to hear the case against the Rev. George Robichaud. Perkins warned the jury that testimony would be sexually explicit and cautioned jurors about discussing the case with anyone.

Robichaud is charged with abusing a teenage altar boy in his Lake Winnisquam cottage nearly 20 years ago. Robichaud has acknowledged his behavior was inappropriate but denies raping the former altar boy, now a 33-year-old state trooper.

Robichaud's first trial ended earlier this year with a deadlocked jury.

Opening statements will be Wednesday.
