	Vatican Protected Child Abuse Priests By Stephen White Mirror [Britain] August 18, 2003 BISHOPS around the world were ordered by the Vatican to cover up cases of sexual abuse, according to a lawyer acting for alleged victims. Daniel Shea has uncovered a 1962 document authorised by the then Pope, which is "a blueprint for deception and concealment". Every Catholic bishop in the world received the 69-page document, which called for the strictest secrecy in dealing with abuse allegations within the Church. The document bears the seal of Pope John XXIII.
