	Letter to the Editor: Media Coverage Excessive Go Erie [Erie PA] Downloaded March 9, 2004 Over the past several months I have read hundreds of stories of sexual abuse by priests in the Catholic Church in the Erie Times-News. I know you want your reading public to be aware of this crisis; this is responsible journalism. I am sure the Catholic Church is taking the necessary action to correct this problem and I wish your newspaper would reduce your continuous follow up of this crisis. Many such abuse problems affects other professions as well and nothing has been reported by your paper in this quantity. When the Catholic Church eliminates child sexual abuse by the priesthood it will only stop a very small percentage of the abuse in our society. Why don't you look into other professions and organizations and do a complete coverage as you have with the Catholic priesthood? The media saturation you have designed has done a deep injustice to the priesthood; this is not deserved. Chuck Guise Wesleyville
