JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Jacksonville Sex Crimes Detective Lt. Annie Smith once again confirmed a number we first broke Friday night on First Coast News.

At least 15 women have now come forward and alleged Dr. Bob Gray molested them when they were young girls.

Dr. Gray, arrested Friday afternoon, was pastor at Trinity Baptist Church for 38 years.

Since we talked with Lt. Smith two more women have contacted us about their alleged sexual abuse. As of 5:45 Monday evening the total is 17.

The church is releasing its statements by fax to us and on its website.

Leaders there say they are doing an internal investigation and cooperating with authorities.

Dr. Robert Gray

Lt. Smith says if you witnessed anything or you're an alleged victim call 630-2168.

The number goes directly into Sex Crimes at JSO.

The law requires your identity to be protected. Lt. Smith says only the investigators on this case will know your name.

It will not be made public without your consent.

Meanwhile, some of the alleged victims are telling us their stories because, in their opinion, the church has covered up the incidents far too long.

Monday at 11:00 you'll hear the women tell their stories for the first time.

They'll explain what they allege the church did to cover up the allegations about Dr. Gray.

Jeannie Blaylock talked with the women in separate interviews. Some live in Jacksonvile. Some live in other Florida cities. Calls from out of state are now coming in as well.
