A priest who worked in our areas has been arraigned on rape charges in Massachusetts, and some of Father Frank Genevive's alleged victims traveled there in order to testify.

Genevive is a Franciscan priest who worked in the Albany area for about two decades. He's accused of raping boys while working at Saint Anthony's of Padua in Troy, between 1979 and 1982.

One of Genveve's alleged victims says he applauds those who've come forward to talk about the abuse they claimed to have suffered at the priest's hands.

"I can say that the abuse included photographs, video-taping," said Mark Lyman, one of the men who testified, and also the local director of the Survivors' Network of those Abused by Priests. "The abuse was extensive."

Genevive was indicted and arraigned in Boston.
