	Bishop of London Apologizes to Abuse Victims By Josh Pringle 580 CFRA [Canada] August 7, 2006 http://www.cfra.com/headlines/index.asp?cat=2&nid=41578 The Roman Catholic bishop of the diocese of London has apologized for the sexual abuse of at least 47 girls over four decades. Ronald Fabbro told the victims he will petition to have retired priest Charles Sylvestre defrocked. Fabbro told reporters "this conduct over many years warrants Father Sylvestre's dismissal as a priest." One victim said "It was more than I thought it would be. It was very sincere." The 83-year-old Sylvestre pleaded guilty last Thursday in Chatham to 47 of 61 sex abuse charges for incidents dating between the 1950s to the 80s.
