	Accused Priest Fires Back with Lawsuit WQAD November 29, 2006 http://www.wqad.com/Global/story.asp?S=5742728&nav=1sW7 Chicago A Chicago-area priest who stepped down from parish ministry after allegations surfaced that he may have abused two youths has filed a defamation lawsuit against his accusers. In a complaint filed in Cook County yesterday, the Reverend Robert Stepek argues that the abuse accusations are false. He is pastor of St. Albert the Great Parish in Burbank. Stepek's suit seeks more than one-(M) million dollars in punitive damages. The lawsuit identifies the defendants as John Doe One and John Doe Two. The suit alleges that the men made the abuse allegations to retaliate against Stepek. John Doe One was allegedly upset after Stepek refused to pay him for an unfinished repair job at the parish. And the suit says John Doe Two threatened to get revenge after Stepek wouldn't write him a letter of recommendation.
