The Roman Catholic Diocese of London is selling the bishop's residence, with the money going into a fund to pay victims of sexual abuse. The six-thousand square foot residence with nine bedrooms, seven bathrooms and four fireplaces is on the market for 850-thousand dollars. Spokesman Ron Pickersgill says they are not selling the home to specifically pay lawsuits from the victims of Father Charles Sylvester. Pickersgill says the fund has been in place for the past 10 years and has paid off lawsuits in the past that dealt with abuse in the church. Sylvestre was convicted of abusing parishioners in southwestern Ontario and was sentenced to jail where he recently died.
