Warsaw, Mar. 7, 2007 (CWNews.com) — Questions about clerical abuse continue to swirl around Poland's Plock diocese, formerly headed by Archbishop Stanislaw Wielgus.

Father Bogdan Czupryn, the rector of the diocesan seminary, has asked a local public prosecutor to investigate an accusation of assault lodged by a seminary student against two priests. The attack allegedly took place a few years ago, and not at the seminary itself.

According to the Polish daily newspaper Rzeczpospolita, the administrator of the diocese, Bishop Roman Marcinkowski, has met with three priests accused of sexually molesting minors. Another Polish newspaper, Gazeta Wyborcza, has written that one of the three priests was a member of the diocesan curia.
