Polish student Angelika Kluk described the priest at the church where her body was found as a "moron", a court heard yesterday.

In her diary, the 23-year-old outlined the stormy relationship she had with Father Gerry Nugent, who claims to have had sex with her.

Angelika wrote about the priest being drunk and claimed he made disparaging comments about her being Polish.

Interpreter Sasza Depczynski, 31, told the High Court in Edinburgh that he had looked at Angelika's diary from July last year onwards, when she was staying at St Patrick's Church in Anderston, Glasgow, during a working holiday.

In the journal, Angelika wrote about trying to avoid Father Nugent, 63.

She also made an entry in which she claimed that after seeing her embracing her married lover Martin McAskill, Father Nugent "asked me if using the house was fair to him".

The court heard that pornographic images were found on a laptop belonging to Mr McAskill,40.

Police computer expert Andrew Calman described the images as as "low-grade" porn.

He said Angelika's computer and a computer belonging to St Patrick's were also examined. There was no evidence of porn found on either.

But Mr Calman said it was possible that evidence of sexually explicit names on an internet contact list could have been deleted or not discovered.

Defence lawyer Donald Findlay asked Mr Calman: "If someone comes in and gives evidence that they saw on the church computer sexually explicit names of Polish women, could they be telling the truth?"

Mr Calman replied: "That's possible."

Church handyman Peter Tobin, 60, denies raping and murdering Angelika and hiding her body under the floor at St Patrick's last September.

Yesterday, the prosecution closed their case. Defence witnesses are expected to start giving evidence today.

It is not known if Tobin will take the stand.
