Fairfield (AP) — A Methodist pastor from Illinois has been removed from the ministry amid charges that he molested a young boy.

Larry Reinke pleaded not-guilty last week to predatory criminal sexual assault and child pornography charges. Prosecutors contend he molested a boy younger than 13 and recorded the abuse with a digital camera at least once.

Authorities say the boy was a member of Reinke's congregation when he was pastor of two United Methodist churches in Wayne County in southeastern Illinois.

Reinke headed the churches from 1998 to June 2005, when he was named pastor of four central Illinois churches in Fulton and Schuyler counties.

Reinke is free on $50,000 bond and is scheduled to stand trial August 6.
