Mona Brewer filed her first lawsuit against Bishop Earl Paulk in 2005. She alleged that the leader of the Chapel Hill Harvester Church in DeKalb County sexually abused and exploited her for 14 years, saying God condoned his actions.

She also alleged that he made her have sex with other ministers, including his own son Don Paulk, who was also named in the lawsuit.

Bishop Earl Paulk acknowledged he had a sexual relationship with Brewer but said it was consensual.

In March of this year, Brewer withdrew her suit and refiled it on Wednesday, adding one name to the list of defendants -- Evelyn Mays, a church staff member.

Brewer alleged that Mays set her and others up with private meetings with Paulk that later led to sexual exploitation. Several calls were placed to Chapel Hill Harvester Church by 11Alive News. Those calls were not returned.
