Burlington - The victim in a priest sex abuse case being heard in a Burlington courtroom took the stand today, describing how he says a priest abused him 30 years ago in a hotel room.

Forty-6-year-old James Turner fought back tears at times as he recalled the 1977 encounter, when he says former priest Alfred Willis performed a sex act on him.

Turner settled out of court with Willis but is still suing the Diocese of Burlington for at least a million dollars.

1 of the Diocese's lawyers, David Cleary, sought to undermine Turner's credibility, questioning him about why he didn't report the incident until 2002.

Turner says he didn't understand the significance of what happened to him at the time and felt alone. He says he filed suit after learning about other cases.
