	Priest Caught in the Act Appears in Court to Defend Allegations KEYT August 16, 2007 http://www.keyt.com/news/local/9207127.html California — A local priest appeared in court for having sex in public today and enter a plea. The Attorney for Revered Gernoimo Cuevas plead not guilty on his behalf of the Assistant Pastor at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in Nipomo. The 52-year-old was arrested in late July near Pirates Cove on suspicion of sexual battery and soliciting a lewd act in a public place. According to the San Luis Obispo Sheriff's Department Cuevas is accused of groping an undercover male Deputy. He was one of three men arrested on misdemeanor allegations.
