Francis Cardinal George installed a new pastor Sunday to replace Fr. Daniel McCormack, who is now a convicted child molester.

Cardinal George, the archbishop of Chicago, attended St. Agatha Church on the West Side for mass. Fr. Larry Dowling succeeds McCormack.

In July, McCormack pleaded guilty to abusing five boys and was sentenced to five years in prison.

Following Sunday's service, SNAP, the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests, passed out leaflets in protest of Cardinal George's scheduled November installation as president of the U.S. Conference of Bishops.

"Cardinal George recklessly left innocent children at risk. He had the information, and he should have removed Father McCormack, and he didn't. He allowed Father McCormack to stay right here and abuse the innocent children of this parish and neighborhood," said SNAP President Barbara Blaine.

Cardinal George rejected SNAP's charge.
