Bishop's deposition: An article in Friday's California section about the unsealing of Bishop Tod Brown's deposition in a civil sexual abuse lawsuit against the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange identified Norman MacFarland as a former monsignor of the diocese. He is a former bishop.

Hockey: An article on the Kings and Ducks in Friday's Sports section indicated that the Kings' Wayne Simmonds would play his first NHL preseason game on Saturday. Actually, he played in Thursday night's game against the Ducks.

'Cesar & Ruben': A photograph that ran with an Aug. 17 review of "Cesar & Ruben" in Calendar's Theater Beat column was credited to choreographer Frankie Anne. The photograph of the cast was taken by Andrea Rogatini.

Tomato gardeners: A July 26 article in the Home section on Allison and Kevin Melanson and their tomato garden said she starts seedlings for tomato vendor Jimmy Williams. The story failed to specify that this work is done at Williams' home, not at the Melansons'.

Wyman obituary: The obituary of actress Jane Wyman in Tuesday's California section stated that she was born Sarah Jane Mayfield Fulks. According to a biography approved by her family and posted on a tribute website, she was born Sarah Jane Mayfield and "assumed the name Sarah Jane Fulks in honor of her neighbors, Richard and Emma Fulks, who unofficially adopted her after her father died."

Hardman obituary: The obituary of Mickey Gustin Hardman in Friday's California section stated that poetry by Robert Creeley is paired with art by Lawrence Weiner as part of "Poet's Walk." Creeley's poetry is paired with art by James Surls.

Pro football: An article in the Aug. 21 Sports section detailing Michael Vick's situation involving dogfighting misspelled the surname of Detroit Lions All-Pro defensive tackle Alex Karras as Karros.

Filmmaker's name: An article in the Sept. 7 Calendar section about documentary filmmaker Luis Mandoki misspelled his first name as Luís.

'Pictures at an Exhibition': A review in Wednesday's Calendar of the performance of "Pictures at an Exhibition" at the Jazz Bakery misspelled the first name of pianist Alan Steinberger as Allen.

Boat festival: In the July 29 California section, a photo caption that accompanied a story about the ViewSonic Long Beach Dragon Boat Festival incorrectly referred to the event as the Long Beach Fire Boat Festival.
