A Man who alleges he was sexually abused by children's TV presenter Ric Marshall 30 years ago says he was also abused by two Anglican Church figures.

The District Court was told a priest admitted to church authorities he had abused the man as a child after the man wrote a letter to him.

The court heard that the man claimed he had no sexual experience before Marshall allegedly had sex with him at Marshall's Gilberton home in September, 1973.

But it was later revealed that the man had alleged to police that in January that year he had been sexually abused by former priest and pedophile Robert Brandenburg, who died in 1999.

Marshall's lawyer, Greg Mead, told Judge Dean Clayton the evidence showed there was reasonable doubt about what the man alleged happened at Gilberton.

Crown prosecutor Jay McGrath said the the man had said he had put the first abuse out of his mind and did not want to remember it.

Marshall, 78, is charged with two counts of indecent assault, four counts of buggery, and one of procuring an act of buggery between 1973 and 1977. Judge Clayton reserved his decision.
