A Naugatuck priest accused of sexually molesting a 15-year-old boy is due back at Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 3 for a pretrial hearing. The Rev. Robert J. Grant, 63, who is on administrative leave from St. Mary's and St.Hedwis's churches, has been charged with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. He has pleaded innocent. Grant appeared briefly at the courthouse on Wednesday, and his case was continued. He is free after posting a $200,000 bond. On Oct. 3, Grant is also scheduled to be arraigned at the courthouse on a breach of peace charge for allegedly trying to contact his accuser outside St. Mary's Church on Saturday. He also posted a $200,000 bond in that case.
