A Port Orchard pastor suspected in at least two cases of sexual abuse turned himself in Monday to the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office.

The 60-year-old man was accompanied by his lawyer and did not make any statements or talk to detectives, said deputy Scott Wilson, a spokes- man for the department.

The News Tribune isn't naming the man because no charges have been filed in the cases.

He was booked into the jail on suspicion of two counts of second-degree rape of a child. A preliminary court hearing is scheduled for today in Kitsap County, Wilson said.

The man was sought based on the allegations of a girl and a woman now in her early 20s, Wilson said. Neither is still a member of the pastor's congregation.

The woman recently called 911 and said the pastor had abused her from when she was 12 or 13 until 2006, Wilson said. The woman referred officers to the girl, who said she, too, had been abused.

Media attention in the case prompted two additional victims to come forward, he said, bringing the total to four.

When deputies tried to serve a warrant last week, the pastor couldn't be found at his home or church. A relative later told the sheriff's office the pastor knew he was being sought and was in consultation with an attorney.
