Update: Conan O'Brien's Priest Stalker Hated John McEnroe, Loved Message Boards

The story about a Boston priest getting arrested for stalking Conan O'Brien keeps getting weirder, if that's possible. Reverend David Ajemian, 46, who attended Milton and Harvard and who was a local priest, was nabbed trying to get into an O'Brien taping.

The Smoking Gun has documents that show Ajemian may be even stranger than previously thought. Letters indicate that Ajemian was mad at John McEnroe as well, and he claimed that McEnroe assaulted them when they were in junior high.

Ajemian posted "hundreds of messages" as "Padre 009" on television boards, 582 on NBC's Conan message board alone. The search results are here. One note from him is truly freaky: "I'm a LIAR OK??? Imagine that-- a priest who LIES AND LIES AND LIES. Doesn't that thrill all of you, really and strengthen your grip on sanity?? It should....?" When did he have time to be a priest?

Ajemian didn't leave his parish out entirely. He wrote one note on parish letterhead in which he said: "I'm not Seung-Cho (the Virginia Tech killer), even if I did once look out on that dark and dreaded doorway on West 72nd Street. And, remember, Frank Costello once dodged a bullet in your building and so can you."

O'Brien's apartment building may have helped convince Ajemian of a link between the two. He wrote, "My brother is terrified that I may "do something" at the taping. When I asked him for some memories of our old apt. bldg(now Conan's) he said--- LEAVE ME OUTA THIS!!!"

Who can blame O'Brien for calling the law? Ajemian is sitting in Rikers right now.
