Hartford (WTNH) - Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford is trying to make amends for the actions of a former doctor.

The hospital has taken out a full page ad in the Hartford Courant about alleged abuse inflicted by Dr. George Reardon.

Earlier this year thousands of slides and a dozen of movies containing child porn were found hidden inside Reardon's former home in West Hartford.

Reardon worked at St. Francis for more than 30 years. He last worked there in 1993, and passed away 10 years ago.

The hospital is offering counseling services to those affected.

"We have established a dedicated, confidential phone line for individuals and families who feel they were victims of this physician's past behavior," hospital President and CEO Chris Dadlez said in the ad, and message on the hospital's web site.

"During our conversations with these individuals, we will offer resources for counseling with independent specialists, should they desire that assistance. That number: 1-877-288-5774."

Dadlez says St. Francis is also working with police in their investigation.
