A Houston man was arraigned in Miami County Court last Wednesday for allegedly having inappropriate contact with a minor.

Seth Glazier, 23, of Houston, has been charged with one count of gross sexual imposition, a third-degree felony.

Allegations were brought to the Miami County Sheriff's Office by Miami County Children's Services according to Det. Mark Slater.

Glazier is accused of having inappropriate contact with a now 10-year-old boy during church- sponsored activities at Richards Chapel of Troy and Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church, near Tipp City, according to Slater.

He said Glazier is a volunteer with both churches.

Slater said the boy, who was 9 years old when the alleged abuse began, told police several incidents occured during church-related events over a period of about a year.

Two of the incidents are said to have occured at Richards Chapel and one at Ginghamsburg, he said. Slater said the two churches have some kind of affilation.

Slater said Glazier, who has no prior criminal history, has confessed to the crime.

If found guilty, Glazier could face up to five years in prison, Slater said.

Slater said the investigation into other possible victims continues.

"We just don't know for sure yet," Slater said. "The investigation continues, but nothing solid."

Slater said parents affiliated with the churches should speak to their children and let them know it is OK to come forward if something inappropriate has happened.

He said parents then should contact him at 440-3965, Ext. 3662.
