	Confusion Blamed for Wrong Report on O'Hara Church Theft The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review January 17, 2008 http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/news/cityregion/s_547815.html A spokesman for the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh said Wednesday that miscommunication is to blame for an initial overstatement of the amount of money stolen from an O'Hara church between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Initial reports said between $10,000 and $20,000 had been taken from St. Joseph Parish. Diocesan spokesman Rev. Ron Lengwin said that sum was the entire collection, and that $2,000 to $4,000 was taken. Large bills were taken from four of six bags, he said. The parish has insurance to cover the theft, Lengwin said. The theft was reported to authorities on Dec. 26 and remains under investigation by Allegheny County Police.
