	Multimillion-Dollar Lawsuits Filed against Dioceses Canadian Press in the Globe and Mail January 29, 2008 http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/LAC.20080129.NATS29-4/TPStory/TPNational/Ontario/ Sudbury — Victims of alleged sexual abuse at the hands of Roman Catholic priests announced seven multimillion-dollar lawsuits in Sudbury yesterday. Ledroit Beckett Litigation Lawyers of London, Ont., are representing seven people suing the Catholic dioceses of Sault Ste. Marie and London as well as the Congregation of the Resurrection in Ontario. The litigation names six priests, only one of whom is still alive. Each of the plaintiffs is seeking $4.5-million for pain and suffering, mental distress and special damages.
