I am grateful for Marie Rohde's and Mary Zahn's article ("Documents detail church coverup," Feb. 1). The archdiocese's flagrant coverup attempts are now coming out of the darkness and into the light - the light that exposes the sexual predators who church leaders have so long protected.

Those involved in the conspiracy to protect these sexual predators need to be brought to justice. It happens in the secular world; I can't fathom why it's not happening in the Catholic Church. When do the guilty face the justice system that is in place to protect all citizens? How has the Catholic Church escaped accountability? It's long past time to bring to justice to those who traumatized so many lives. Justice is justice, and no one should be excused. We reap what we sow. It's not about revenge; it's about accountability.
