JACKSONVILLE, FL -- An update now on the civil suits filed against Trinity Baptist Church in Jacksonville.

Today the action revolves around Jane Doe #2, who's suing Trinity.

She alleges Trinity knew its former pastor, Bob Gray, was an alleged child molester and did nothing to protect her.

The attorneys for Trinity today argued her case was filed years too late.

Two other civil suits have already been thrown out over the same issue.

But the attorney for Jane Doe #2 today argued before Judge John Skinner that her case is different.

Miami attorney Adam Horowitz says Jane Doe #2 has repressed memory and, according to him, should be allowed to have more time to pursue legal action.

Horowitz says only in the last year or so when she saw Bob Gray's arrest on TV did she remember her alleged abuse as a child years ago.

Attorneys for Trinity chose not to go on camera today, but said the legal road ahead is still a long one. Trinity has always denied any wrongdoing or cover up.

So how does the legal action against Trinity stand?

Out of the seven civil suits filed, only one is, at this point, definitely going to trial.

The two cases thrown out over statute of limitations are under appeal.

Two cases involve repressed memory. One is going to trial. The other one is under review by Judge Skinner. Attorneys expect his decision in about two weeks. Then we'll know if Jane Doe #2 will be allowed to take her case to court.

The other three will go in front of various judges. At issue: statute of limitations, once again.
