DOVER, Delaware - March 3,2008 -- A Catholic priest who was sentenced to jail in New York last year for child molestation has reached a settlement with a Florida man who claims he was sexually abused while attending Catholic schools in Delaware.

Attorneys for the Reverend Francis DeLuca and Robert Quill of Marathon, Florida, filed a stipulation of dismissal in U.S.

District Court in Wilmington on Saturday.

As a result of the agreement, which still must be approved by the court, DeLuca's deposition in the lawsuit will remain sealed, but could be made available in other suits.

The proposed dismissal was filed two weeks after Quill reached a settlement with the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington and St.

Elizabeth's parish in Wilmington, where, according to Quill, he and other boys were molested by DeLuca in the 1960s.

Seventy-seven-year-old DeLuca was sentenced by a New York judge last year to 60 days in jail for repeatedly molesting his 18-year-old grandnephew.
