BOLZANO - La Curia di Bolzano e irritata per la condanna a un anno e mezzo di carcere inflitta a Siracusa al sacerdote altoatesino Hansjoerg Rigger per possesso di materiale pedopornografico. Lo Stato - sostiene la Curia dopo avere preso visione delle motivazioni della sentenza - non ha rispettato gli obblighi del Concordato. Il sacerdote e accusato possesso di materiale fotografico e di video a fondo pedofilo e pornografico.

Mentre la Chiesa e la Curia di Bolzano - si legge in una nota - hanno sempre rispettato e rispettano profondamente la giustizia civile e penale, non altrettanto e stato fatto dalla giustizia dello Stato italiano, che non rispettando le norme del Concordato, non ha dato nessuna notizia formale, ne preventiva ne successiva del procedimento in corso.
La Curia ricorda inoltre che il prete e stato sempre convinto della sua innocenza e tale si e sempre dichiarato e afferma di avere gravissimi e fondati dubbi sulla sussistenza del fatto, tanto da ritenere che la sentenza di condanna sia il risultato di un errore, determinato da una consulenza tecnica superficiale e contraddittoria.

Pedophilia, priest sentenced: the Curia of Bolzano accuses the Italian State: "The Concordato (the constitutional accord between the State and the Vatican) wasn't respected"
BOLZANO - The Curia of Bolzano is irritated for the sentence of one-year-and-half of jail given to a priest from Alto Adige (the Italian region bordering with Austria) by a court in Siracusa (Sicily). The priest, Hans Rigger, was tried for possession of pedophilic and pornographic material. The Italian State - according to the Curia after the sentence was read - didn't respect the obligations set by the Concordato. The priest was accused of possession of photographic material and videos representing pedophilia and pornography.
"While the Church and the Curia of Bolzano - says the note - always deeply respected and respect the Italian civil and penal law, the same wasn't done by the Italian State's justice, which didn't respect the Concordato's rules, omitting to issue the formal communications at the beginning and at the end of the trial".
Moreover the Curia reminds that the priest "was always convinced of his innocence and as such he always proclaimed to be" and it affirms "having very grave and founded doubts of the veracity of the facts, so much so as to deem the jail sentence as the result of an error, determined by a superficial and contradictory technical consultancy ".
