Priests in the Belleville diocese have asked Bishop Edward Braxton to resign.
On Wednesday, nearly half the priests of the Belleville diocese met to discuss what to do about Braxton who's accused of misusing funds to buy furniture and ceremonial vestments.

One of the priests at a meeting told the Belleville News-Democrat he saw his fellow clergymen sign a sheet that would be attached to a letter calling for Braxton's resignation.
That letter is supposed to be made public on Friday.
