  Florida Minister Charged with Soliciting Teen

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Florida. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) --A Central Florida pastor is behind bars in St. Lucie County after authorities arrested him Monday afternoon and charged with Internet solicitation of a teenager.

Jack Aldrich

According to investigators, 46 year old Jack Aldrich used the internet to make sexual advances to someone he thought was a 15 year old girl from Port St Lucie in an internet chat room. The girl was actually an undercover St. Lucie County Sheriffs detective.

Monday representatives from the Orange County Sheriff's Office, Seminole County Sheriff's Office, Lake Mary Police Department and St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office made the arrest of Aldrich at his home in Lake Mary.

Aldrich is Director of Music Ministries of the First United Methodist Church of Winter Park in Orange County

In addition to making the arrests, authorities also seized a laptop and desktop computer at the church. 

Aldrich was charged with lewd computer solicitation of a child (a third-degree felony) and lewd or lascivious exhibition (a second-degree felony.). He was taken to St. Lucie County to be jailed.

Deputies will have the United State Attorney's Office in Fort Pierce will review the case to consider whether to file federal charges against Aldrich.
