Making Our Voices Heard during the Papal Visit

Voice of the Faithful
April 5, 2008

http://votf.org/

Our ad is now scheduled to appear in the national edition of the New York Times next week we will let you know when as soon as we get the final date. Now it's time to turn our attention to the next step: signing a petition that repeats our message, and place that petition in the hands of the Pope.

Once again, there's not much time to gather the signatures, but we have seen how online actions free us to gather many voices in a short period of time.

Remember, because the Pope has scheduled no discussions or listening sessions with ordinary laity, joining your voice with others in these coordinated actions may be your best opportunity to be heard.

Check out the petition and, if you agree with it, please sign it.

Then print out a copy and join one or two like-minded Catholics this weekend to stand in front of your Church after Mass and ask others to sign it. Send those signed petitions to the VOTF office, PO Box 423, Newton Upper Falls, MA 02464.

The petition will be online and we will be collecting signatures through April 30.

We also will be talking about the petition during the conversations with the media that are resulting from the ad in the New York Times. If you have not yet seen the ad, click here and perhaps make a printed copy of the ad to bring along with the petitions when you ask friends to sign.

With your help and support, we can "Keep the Faith and Change Our Church"!
