Court - A former youth ministry volunteer will go to trial on 15 of 17 charges of sexual abuse allegedly involving four teenage girls.

Provincial court Judge William Cummings ordered Kelly Malcolm Grant, 43, to stand trial following a preliminary hearing on Monday.

All four complainants testified Monday during the one-day hearing. There was a ban on publication of evidence.

Grant is now scheduled to appear in Court of Queen's Bench on June 13.

At that time, a trial date will be set on seven counts of sexual assault, five counts of sexual exploitation while being in a position of trust and three of five counts of sexual contact with a child under 14 years.

The charges against Grant stem from allegations of abuse against the girls at Centre Street Church between 1994 and 2003.

He was arrested and charged last October.
