T'PURAM: "A narco-analysis can reveal only what is in your mind. When the mind is blank, how can you draw conclusions?," asked Kottayam Knanaya Archdiocese Chancellor Fr Thomas M Kottoor.

While talking to this website's newspaper over phone from Kottayam on media reports that the CBI had identified the murderer of Sr Abhaya.

"I don't know anything about it. I had repeated this a number of times to all the inquiring officials," said Kottoor, who was placed under suspicion by a section of media on Friday for murdering the nun 16 years ago.

"Otherwise I had to create a fantasy myself and contemplate on it for days before the narco-analysis test so that I can make a statement as you allege". He said he has been used to this mental trauma now and didn't take media reports seriously.

"Our PRO contacted CBI officials and they said all such reports are baseless. I am not ruling out the suspicion that the new controversy is kicked off for diverting attention from some other issues," Kottoor said when asked about the timing of new revelations.

Fr Kottoor admitted that he and Fr Jose Puthrukayil were taken to New Delhi by the CBI for interrogation in January. "They may come again and interrogate us further. We too want the truth to come out," said Kottoor.

When asked why the fingers of suspicion are being continuously pointed at him, Kottoor said that all inquiry teams had followed the theory put forth initially by someone. "No team tried to explore other possibilities in the case," he said.

"Jesus always guides me on the right path. I am sure that He will lead me till the end of my life. If some people want to cook up evidence and frame me, let them do that," he said.
