  One Year is Enough

My first blog posting was June 3, 2007. I started it as an experiment in writing, to open a small window into my life, and the life of a Catholic priest. Somehow I got it into my head that with all the difficulties in the life of the Church, a blog from the perspective of a priest would be interesting. I know there are other priests who have blogs so I thought I'd give it a try.

I've decided that a year is long enough. It's time to conclude this experiment near the 1st anniversary. My last posting will be May 31.

Maintaining this blog has been time consuming, which up until the last couple of months was not really a problem since I have had a fairly light workload. I'm getting busier and the amount of time I spend reading other websites, looking for material to write on, news to post, or the time it takes to properly word my commentaries is just taking too much time.

I have discovered that I enjoy writing. I'm pretty good at speaking (from what people tell me), and I want to devote more time to writing things that may actually be publishable someday. So some of the time I have spent blogging I will use to improve my writing.
