Il nome di De Pedis e' tornato in evidenza dopo le dichiarazioni fatte da Sabrina Minardi, la nuova super testimone della vicenda, la quale ha sostenuto che fu lui, su mandato del cardinale Marcinkus, a sequestrare la Orlandi e ad ucciderla gettando poi il cadavere in una betoniera.
