È questa l«'impressione» che il cardinale Tarcisio Bertone, segretario di Stato vaticano, ha tratto dal ritorno alle cronache del caso di Emanuela Orlandi, la ragazza scomparsa nel 1983, e dal grande spazio dato dalla stampa alle presunte rivelazioni della ex amante di De Pedis. «FARE LUCE SULLA SORTE DI EMANUELA» - In un'intervista ad Avvenire pubblicata domenica, il cardinal Bertone ha ringraziato il quotidiano per «il commento puntuale alla vicenda Orlandi ed in difesa della memoria della figura sacerdotale dell'arcivescovo Paul Casimir Marcinkus», ribadendo soprattutto la vicinanza della Santa Sede al dolore della famiglia Orlandi di cui, rileva il cardinale, «condividiamo il desiderio che la magistratura faccia quanto in suo possesso per conoscere la sorte della amata Emanuela».
