The day after he was sent to jail for exposing himself in a mall parking lot, a former Omaha priest pleaded no contest Friday to violating his probation in a molestation case.

Daniel Herek

Daniel Herek, 63, had been on probation after serving time for molesting an altar boy at St. Richard Catholic Church in 1999.

In September 2005, a woman saw him masturbating in the Crossroads Mall parking lot. Herek was convicted of indecent exposure and lewd conduct in the case, violating his earlier probation.

He was taken to jail Thursday to serve a 120-day sentence in the indecent exposure case after exhausting his appeals.

Sentencing for the probation violation was set for a later date.
