PEORIA, Ill - An ex-minister and former substitute teacher from central Illinois has been found competent to stand trial on federal child pornography charges.

Thirty-eight-year-old James Love of Bloomington was indicted last year on charges that he produced pornographic images of two minors, and is scheduled to stand trial in October.

Love also faces sexual abuse and aggravated battery charges in McLean County for allegedly sedating and sexually abusing four boys during sleepovers at this house.

He has pleaded not guilty in both cases.

A message left Friday for Love's attorney was not immediately returned.

Before his arrest, Love was a minister at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Bloomington and a substitute teacher in Bloomington and Normal.
