WILMINGTON, Del. - Four former students at Wilmington's Salesianum school are claiming in a lawsuit they were abused by a priest who taught there and say that Catholic officials didn't do enough to stop him.

The lawsuit was filed Monday. It alleges the abuse occurred between 1983 and 1987, when the Rev. Dennis Killion was a teacher at the school.

The suit was filed by former Salesianum students Thomas Ademski, Anthony Kramedas, Christopher Mauro and a man who is suing anonymously.

Killion belongs to the religious order the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales, based in Wilmington and Philadelphia. Killion worked recently at a Catholic high school in Florida. He was to be assigned to a parish in Pennsylvania, before the assignment was withdrawn Monday.

An Oblate spokesman says Killion was placed on administrative leave and the allegations are being taken seriously.
